Who Is AzuSax?

AzuSax is a native of Washington, DC & has been performing for audiences all over the world. A classy, electrifying saxophonist who reads the moods and aura of his audience to deliver the most memorable musical experience. Apart from his formal training at Duke Ellington, UDC and finally Berklee College of Music, music has been an integral part of AzuSax’s makeup. Since the tender age of 7, Azu has grown to master the Sax while delivering outstanding service to all clients. With AzuSax you are guaranteed musical excellence as well as the consummate professional.

Throughout his career he has performed with some of the greatest in the music industry: Stevie Wonder, Diane Schuur, Earth Wind And Fire, Smokey Robinson, John Legend, King Promise, R2Bees and many others. Azu is hoping to shape a whole new generation of unique musicians who strive for excellence not only musically, but professionally. I look forward to working with you!

I wanted to do something special for my wife's birthday and I thought what better way to do that than have an in home concert. I booked Azu for an hour concert at my home and my wife absolutely LOVED IT! He allowed me to pick my songs that I wanted him to play for us which made his performance especially personal. From start to finish Azu was perfect. It was almost like he wasn't even there but also asking yourself "who is that cutting up on that saxophone?" We will definitely be booking his services again sooner than later. Well done!

  • The AzuSax Experience provides Live Sax for two consecutive sections of your event. The AzuSax Unlimited Experience provides Live Sax across multiple parts of the event, with strategic breaks, DJ collaboration, and up to 7 specially requested songs.

  • Yes. Having worked with hundreds of DJs over the years, I have mastered the art of collaboration—knowing when to step forward, when to pull back, and how to complement the music without overdoing every moment.

  • No. I provide a premium, professional-grade sound system for every event, so I do not need to rely on the venue’s equipment or the DJ’s sound system. My setup is specifically designed to deliver clear, powerful sound for the Live Sax performance throughout your event.

  • For every event I typically arrive two to three hours before the performance unless otherwise discussed. This allows me ample time for setup, sound checks, and final preparations, ensuring everything is ready well before I perform my first note.

  • Yes, Cocktail Hour-only performances are available. However, for a more complete AzuSax performance experience, I recommend selecting the AzuSax Experience at minimum.
